Successful Dental offices and Laboratories need to have teams that work together well. As an extention of your business I understand how important becoming part of your team can be.

You need to know who I am and how I can benefit your office. That is my goal in sharing this information with you.

I grew up in Iowa , youngest daughter in a family of six children, to a father that was a construction superintendent. My dad built the Wardway Plaza in Iowa City back in 1966. At times before that we moved 3 or four times a year. Our family settled into Stanwood , Iowa after that and I graduated with high honors there. I wanted to presue a scientific and artistic field. My first dream was oceanography. A fear of water and an inability to swim well drove me to redirect my effort to my 2nd choice, dental laboratory. I have never regretted giving up a life of being all wet. I worked for several years before paying my own way through college, and I can remember the younger ones in my class being more about parties than study. I graduated with high honors and was setting up my lab and doing my first cases before I graduated.

At first I ran a full service lab , casting ticonium partial frameworks and processing full dentures along with crown and bridge. But as I did more and more all ceramic crowns my focus became more specialized. All ceramic has come a long ways since the old Cerestore days. Many of the Doctors I worked with in the Iowa City area have passed away or retired but I have had the privilege of working with some of the best. New technology makes it easier to do great work and the Cerec system is awesome.

Back to a personal side. I raised two children in the Washington area with country living and Bible study. We burned wood for heat in the winter and worked together to ready wood supply and garden in the summer. We enjoyed horses, chickens, and a goat, turkey, etc. through the years. We enjoyed hot air ballooning on good weekends and vacations. Although age has slowed me down and I am not able to balloon any longer, I still garden some and horse around. I still live in the country and enjoy even more the warmth of a fireplace in the winter.

Now I'm enjoying working with a young generation of technicians, new technology, and serving the Dental profession in the Dewitt area. And with new technology expanding all over the United States we are only a mailbox away. Our fast turn around time helps us serve you better. Send your next case to Ceramic Art so we can put a smile on your face and help you get the WOW factor.
